The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Seoul hosted a roundtable discussion on the occasion of  Alisher Navoi’s birth anniversary, Dunyo reports. The event attracted Uzbek compatriots and Korean students of the Uzbek language at the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.

The event participants stressed that in a bid to promote the literary and scientific heritage of the representative of our classical literature and to further strengthen cultural and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea, a monument to Alisher Navoi was erected in Seoul, which was officially unveiled at the opening ceremony in December 2021, on the eve of the visit of Uzbekistan's President to the Republic of Korea.

The participants of the roundtable discussion read ghazals and poems by Alisher Navoi.
