President Mirziyoyev rebuked the increase in the number of buildings erected without permission in Tashkent at an extended meeting held on January 16 regarding the measures taken to supply the population with energy resources in the winter season.
According to the press secretary of the President, it was noted that the master plan of the capital had not yet been approved which spewed in a spike of buildings that exceeded 250.
He also strongly underscored the fact that the load on the existing infrastructure was not calculated when the construction boomed.
In the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers dated November 19, 2021 "On measures for the comprehensive development of settlements being moved from Tashkent region to Tashkent city in 2021-2024 and further improvement of the field of household services to the population", the Ministry of Construction of Tashkent was assigned the task of developing and approving the master plan of the capital until 2023.
In the decree of the President in August 2018, it was noted that the absence of an approved master plan of Tashkent leads to irregular constructions, does not allow further expansion of the activities of business entities, and also hinders the active socio-economic development of the capital.
