Uzbek Foreign Minister Vladimir Norov on Thursday (December 1) held talks with José Manuel Albares Bueno, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain. The two parties held a meeting in Lotz, the second largest city of Poland, and reflected on the current state and prospects of the development of Uzbek-Spanish multifaceted cooperation.
According to Foreign Ministers, the 7th round of the bilateral political consultations held in March 2022 brought prolific results. The counties’ top diplomats expressed their readiness to continue the talks in the same format, as Uzbekistan considers Spain a reliable and promising partner in Europe and welcomes Madrid's plans to open an embassy in Tashkent soon.
On the same day, several proposals were considered to increase the indicators of foreign economic linkages, intensify direct contacts between the business circles of the two countries, implement joint projects, and organize a visit of leading Spanish companies to Uzbekistan to explore the possibilities of the market of our country.
The ministers exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the tourism, cultural, humanitarian, and educational fields.
