Another heinous act of tree barbarism spread on social networks when more than 10 trees were decimated in Yashnabad district, Tashkent. The State Ecology Committee reacted to the situation.
After receiving information about the illegal tree cutting in the construction site in the "Iltifot" mahalla of Yashnabad district, the Department of Ecology and Environmental Protection of Tashkent city, Yashnabad district administration, district prosecutor's office, district internal affairs department arrived at the scene to study the incident.
The thorough investigation detected the fresh tree stubs of 16 various valuable trees blatantly violating Article 37 of the Law of Uzbekistan "On the protection and use of flora".
The amount of damage is estimated over 3,5 billion soums.
The evidence is documented and submitted to the district prosecutor's office.
