In his speech at the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan talked about the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026.
The program was developed based on the results of the past five years' reforms which aim at deepening democratic processes, ensuring the rule of law, and improving the standard and quality of life of the population, the ministry’s press service reports.
In particular, by 2030, Uzbekistan plans to reduce the level of poverty by half, increase the efficiency of the social protection system by covering all those in need, strengthen food security, and become one of the countries with a population income above the average.
