The Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that people who stole antminer devices were apprehended in the Karmana district of the Navoi region.
On May 31 A.F., a victim from the Navoi region (1995) reported a burglary where 30 Antminer T19 devices were taken from the greenhouse located in "Sardoba" neighbourhood of Karmana district. The total cost of the devices exceeded 3 billion 280 million soums.
In order to expose this heinous crime, the Cybersecurity Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its Navoi region branch carried out an operation to catch the criminals.
As a result of the special operation, 2 pieces of equipment belonging to A.G. were found by the repairman of the antminer devices in Yunusabad district of Tashkent city I.A. (born in 1999) that were later confiscated as evidence.
After that, the perpetrators N.F., born in 1995, living in the Karmana district, Navoi region. and R.A., born in 1995, living in the Karmana district were also caught red-handed by the local police.
11 Antminer T19 devices were documented as physical evidence from N.F.'s apartment.
The police have initiated the case under Article 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code, and try to detect other similar cases linked to the offenders.
