Over the past two years, the bilateral trade between Kyrgyzstan and Russia has demonstrated robust growth, with an average trade volume reaching $3bn, the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan reported.

At the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the First Deputy Chairman of the Kyrgyz Republic's Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, participated in the "Kyrgyzstan-Russia" business dialogue.
Kasymaliev opened the dialogue by acknowledging the longstanding tradition of hosting the Russia-Kyrgyzstan business dialogue within the broader framework of the forum.
He expressed contentment with the positive trajectory of trade and economic cooperation, highlighting a steady increase in bilateral trade. Kasymaliev attributed these promising figures to collaborative efforts between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, including robust interregional cooperation and growing Russian investments in Kyrgyzstan's economy.
Participants lauded the efficacy of various institutions facilitating bilateral relations, such as the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical, and Humanitarian Cooperation, the Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference, the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, and the Kyrgyz-Russian Business Council.

He extended an invitation to Russian business leaders to engage in the upcoming 11th Kyrgyz-Russian interregional conference, scheduled soon in Krasnoyarsk.
The dialogue participants collectively recognized the forum as a pivotal platform for steering the course of economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia. They emphasized the evolving role of businesses from both countries in expanding trade, enhancing investment cooperation, and venturing into new domains such as high technologies, digitalization, and infrastructure development.
Key figures present at the event included Temir Sariev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic; Vladimir Padalko, Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation; Danil Ibraev, President of the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs; Artem Novikov, Chairman of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, alongside representatives from the business communities of both Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
